GOLF COURSES IN IOWA
Oneota Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole regulation length golf
course in Decorah, Iowa. This medium-length layout has adequate length
for a regulation course. Some holes are quite challenging and interesting,
but overall it can be somewhat forgiving.
The 18-hole "Hunters Ridge” course at the
Hunters Ridge Golf Course facility in Marion, Iowa features 7,007
yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating
is 74.1 and it has a slope rating of 132 on Bent grass. Designed by
Robert M. Lohmann, ASGCA, the Hunters Ridge golf course opened in
1997. Mark N. Davis manages the course as the Golf Professional.
The 18-hole "Legacy" course at the The Legacy
Golf Club facility in Norwalk, Iowa features 7,089 yards of golf from
the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 73.6 and it
has a slope rating of 132 on Bent grass. Designed by Jeffrey D. Brauer,
ASGCA, the Legacy golf course opened in 2002. Trevis Manning manages
the course as the Director of Golf.
The Tournament Club of Iowa is a premier public golf
course for daily fee play and open for limited private and corporate
golf outings. The Tournament Club of Iowa is an Arnold Palmer Signature
Course. The course is challenging, yet appealing to a wide cross-section
of golfers. The course winds through hills, dramatic bluffs and timberland
surrounding beautiful Big Creek and two major lakes. TCI includes
Central Iowa’s newest and most exciting residential golf community.
The 18-hole "Tournament Club" course at the
Tournament Club of Iowa facility in Polk City, Iowa features 7,108
yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating
is 71.5 and it has a slope rating of 140 on Bent grass. Designed by
Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay, ASGCA, the Tournament Club golf course opened
in 2003. Tradition Golf Company manages this facility, with Pat Franklin
as the General Manager.
The 18-hole "Elkhorn" course at the Elkhorn
Golf Club facility in Sun Valley, Idaho features 7,214 yards of golf
from the longest tees . The course rating is 74.2 and it has a slope
rating of 135 on . Designed by Robert Trent Jones, ASGCA/(R)Richard
M. Phelps, ASGCA, the Elkhorn golf course opened in 2005. Troon Golf,
LLC manages this facility, with Don Shirey as the General Manager.
